“Lessons from Cooperative Business Models: Opportunities for Food Systems”

Cooperative enterprises have been shown to have a positive track record for productivity levels, profits, staff turnover, reduction of closures, saving jobs, workers financial health, and building a more even distribution of assets.

At this last Open Meeting of 2021, Johan Matthews, Community Engagement Facilitator at the Cooperative Fund of New England (which recently assisted in the financing of the new branch of the Syracuse Cooperative Market), joins us for this Open Meeting to discuss the basics of co-op development, financing, and management. Also learn more about what other opportunities exist locally for co-op development technical assistance and training.
